The Johannesburg correspondent of tho London Morning Leader states:—"lt is evident that tho Progressives enter the campaign defeated, owing to tho fact that Hot Voile is certain to carry tho country, and. with tho Nationalists, Pretoria. Tho weakness of tho Nationalists' Rand organisation has compelled Ilet Yolk lo sir
candidates in several Rand divisions. This creates the possibility of Ilet Volk obtaining an absolute majority.
