SARGOOD, SON, AND EWEN'S PICNIC.

The combined factories of (lie abovo firm held tlieir annual picnic at the Maori Kaik on Saturday. The weather was perfect, and the employees, their families, and friends, numbering some- 500 persona, journeyed by the Express and Jlaheno to this favourite seasido resort. On arrival at the grounds lunch was partaken of, and toys liberally distributed to tho children, after which a fairly lengthy programme was gone through.
