During the past week the minds of tho Auckland electric tramway employees liavo been considerably exercised over the dismissal of two conductors, and stromr opinions were expressed. Finally it was decided in convene meetings of (lie employees, and these were held In-day. Tho men at first were determined not to let the mailer pass unnoticed, and were in favour almost to a man of going out on strike either to-morrow or .Saturday. Wiser counsels, however, prevailed, and Hie fob lowing resolutions were passed:—"(ll That this nioeling respect fully asks the company to hold a further itupiiiy into the dismissal of the two conductors named, as the unanimous opinion of the men is that Ibey aro not guilty of the conduct which led to their dismissal. |2I Thai an answer he respectfully requested by Monday morning next at 10 o'clock, failing which the Trades ami Edwin Council will be asked to take .he matter up."
