NEWCASTLE, September 11. (Received Sept. 11, at 9.50 p.m.) Tho management of the Minors' Federation has discussed the Maitland trouble, but has not arrived at a decision. Another meeting' will ), e hekl to-morrow. Tho executive of the proprietors' association bas also discussed the situation, and the meeting has been adjourned to Sydney on lhursday. 'It is considered significant' that the federation did not order a levy on [he Newcastle miners to support tho Mait ante, and it i s persistently rumoured that this portends a general strike at His Newcastle nits.
