TO THE EDITOR. n Sl !n~ Wi " kindly permit mo through the limes to make an appcal to its numerous readers for material assistance for' the widow and children of the late Charles W. Logan, who died so suddenly a short timo ago. I knew Mr Logan to be one of tlia best of husbands and fathers, and as a citizen ho was most, industrious and exemplary in every respect. His very sudden death was a severe Shock to nil who knew him. How heavily, therefore, must the blow have fallen upon hoi- who was widowed by bis untimely death. There.aro two children—ono two, years and four months, and tho other five months old Since tho birth of tho last child tho mother has suffered from partial paralysis m tho right hand, and this seriously incapacitates her from doing hard work. The houso the family occupied in South Dunedin will bo tho property of Mrs Logan. She has boon obliged to leave tlw houso that it mi/rht bo let, to provide a little income of 10s per week. Sho and tho two children hive gono lo live with her parents in Castle street.
