VOLUNTEERS.

Ihe Monthly inspection of the North Duncdm Rifles was held in tho Drill Hall, Water of Leilh, on Wednesday night. The ipnrade state was as follows:—1 captain, 2 lieutenants, 1 rolour-sergeant, *t sergeants, 1 corporal, 2 buglers, and 35 privatestotal on parade, 46. Tho attendance was not quite up to the usual owing to several oases of sickness and a number of tile ition being out of town. During tho evening Colonel Robin, accompanied by Districtadjutant Trask, paid 'a visit to Iho company, and after several exercises under tho officers tho Colonel gave the non-cominis-sioned officers a,number of praclical tnovenicnts with their sections. Each individual member was then tested as to his knowledge of the rifle and tho theory of musketry.
