CHRISTCHURCH INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION.

Advice, has been received Ihut the. sum of £10,000. which the Imperial Government lias voted for the. representation of tho United Kingdom at the New Zealand Exhibition, will include an amount for a very line display of meteorological instruments, charts, etc., occupying a space of 63ft by 24ft. The exhibits.will be selected by 'tho Royal Meteorological Society. CHMSTCHURCH, Juno 28.

At n meeting of tho International Exhibilion Executive Committee, held to-night, a. deputation from the Ceremonial and Entertainment Committee complained of delay on tho part-of tho commissioners in replyin? to letters, whieh delay, they contended, had greatly interfered with tho operations of the committee, and. tended to make I heir efforts futile and unsuccessful. Tho leader of the deputation detailed a number of instances where unwarrantable and unsatisfactory delays had occurred, and where tho Chief Commissioner (Mr G- >i. Munro) had opposed actions of tho committee. Mr Munro replied at lenjrth, claiming that he had concurred in the recommendations of the committiec, but the Government had not adopted them, also that he had dono a" much as he could to expedite matters. The question was considered in committee, and on resuming. it. was reported that, a motion had been carried directing that a reply should bo sent to the deputation that tho oxocutiva was of opinion that the discussion ensuing' on their statements would havo the desired effect in the future. Regarding tlio Exhibition Show, the president of the A. and P. Association has notified Mr Munro (executive commissioner) that his association is agreeable in accept the modified condition suggested hi the Government relative to extension of privileges to tho executive officers of all A. and V. Associations throughout the colony and Australia.
