Y.M.C.A,

Judging by the hearty singing whioh was heard at tho 4- o'clock men's meeting of the Young Men's Christian Association yesterday, the "song service" which took the place of the usual Gospel address was greatly appreciated by those able to be present. Jlusio has'undoubtedly a wonderful power, and in tho opinion of many should be more used than it is in work such as the Y.M.C.A. is engaged in. At the strangers' tea (which is held every Sunday at.s p.m.) Mr .1. Wilkinson took the choir, ancl heartily welcomed tho visitors to tho association's rooms. During the afternoon he also gave a brief but valuable address. The number that sat down to tea was about 40, which was slightly Iklow the average attendance. Instead of commencing the open-air services at 8 o'clock, they are being started at 7.50 o'clock, owing to tile approach of winter. The members are working hard for the advancement of this important branch of work. Mr D. A. Craig admirably controlled Uet jjveaing's meeting.
