PUBLIC TRUST OFFICE CHANGES.
Owing to the great increase of the bus!" nm of the Public Trust Office throughout the colony it lias been found necessary t.j establish a district agency of the department at Wanganui, to be represented by an officer on the staff of tho office. Mr 1. K. Saywell, at present o-ient at Ureyinoutli, has been selcctod for the position, and will bo relieved by Mr J E A"on, of tho Dunedin offico, who has been chief .clerk here 'for tho nast four veare, Mr Ajlon having been promoted' to the position of district agent for Westland. Mb wnll also be deputy official assignee for that district. The Public Trustee haa veiy laige landed interests in Greympiuth, the freehold, of nearly the whole town belonging to certain Natives, for whom' the Puhlic Ti-ust.ee acts. Mr Allon is well and favourably known in Dunedin in musical and bowling oircles, moro ©specially the former. He leaves here on the 28th jWav for Greymqutli. Ho will be replaced m the local office by Mr K. N. Browne as chief clerk. Mr ,1 B. J**, who }bi«d the oflica m Dunedin, and was for some years in that branch, was recently pro!?°11- m 1)9 district agent at Nanier, tha tublio -Trustee having found it iieoessary to have the office represented by aii office* of the department in that district.
