OAMARU NEWS NOTES.

(From Ol'r Own Correspondent.) OAMAIUT, April 27. A fire occurred in Ofrvi street at mi(!« day to day, when a four-roomed house, owned by Mr John Moore, and occuoied by Mrs Downey, was destroyed. Tho site is deemed an eminently suitable one. being on the Norlli road, and only half a mile from Iho railway station—in fact, it lies across tho main line of railway, anil a siding could he procurable without difficulty.
