— A danger las followed the bringing of tho water supply from Wales to Birmingham. Tile medical officer of health states that the pure soft water now supplied to the town dissolves ihc zinc coating on galvanised cooking utensils with great vigour, and the water boiled in such a kettle for any time becomes so highly charged with zinc as to be dangerous lo health. The authorities have, asked manufacturers of such goods to call them in where possible, and ironmongers are being urged to discontinue selling them.
