Japan, United States o[ America, Canada, South America, West Indies, United Kingdom, and Continent of Europe, at 1i.30 a.m. Late-fee letters at the C.P.O. at 7.40 a.m., and North Express at S a.m.

Money orders close at 1 p.m. and registered letters at 5 p.m. on the 19th.

Book packets and newspapers at 5 a.m. on the 20th.

The above mail will close at the branch Post Offices. North Dunedin. South Dunedin, Caversham, Roslyn, Mornington, ami NorthE3st Yalley, for money orders at 4 p.m., and registered letters at 5 p.m. on the 19th, letters and newspapers at midnight on (he 19th. Mails for the United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, per Corinthic, via Monte Video, Bio de Janeiro, mid Teneriltc, will close at Wellington on the 29th at- 10 a.m. Correspondence for the United Kingdom, specially addressed, will close at this office on tho 26th at G. 30 a.m. Due in London 11th May.

X.B.—The public is reminded that letter postage for the United States of America is S.'.d per half-ounce; newspapers. Id for the first 4oz. and ?,d for each additional 2oz or fraction thereof.

CAUTION. : The public is warned against posting Urgesired newspapers or packets in the. City or Suburban Post Office Pillars, Lamp-post Bones, or Wall Receivers. Such Urge-sized articles aro liable to slick and cause the box in which tliey are posted to overflow. PARCELS AND PACKETS. The largo posting box ot tht Chief Post Offico is for packets only.
