N.Z. BOWLING ASSOCIATION.
o - •— A meeting of the oxeciitire of tho New Zealand Bowling Association was hold at the office of Mr' R. T. Wheeler yesterdriy afternoon. Mr C. J. Payne (president) was in the chair, and there wcro also present Messrs P. Miller, M. Sinclair, J. A. Hopora ft, and 0. f. Patorson. Accounts were passed for payment amounting to £150 18s lOd. The Treasurer (Mi Paterson) reported that ho had about £6 ca6h in hand, and that there was £177 lying to the credit of the association in tho bank. The committee reported that tho cost of the smoke concert had been £26 8s Id. Mr W. Dull wrote tendering hi 6 resignation as official bowl-tester for the association.—The resignation was accepted, and a committee consisting of Messrs Payne, Sinclair, and Miller was appointed to act in tho matter of arranging for bowl-testing. , A letter was received from tho Diyiedin Operatic Society asking the patronage of the association at ils pevformancc.—lt was moved that the patronage bo extended, hut the motion was lost, tho opinion being expressed that. the. executive had no power to grant the request on behalf of the association, and .that it would be establishing a, precedent that might provo objectionable.
