Quite a provincial interest is attached tq the twonty-first annual sports'' meeting of the Dunedin Amateur Atblctio Club, which takes placo at the Caledonian Grounds on Snturday next. With the splendid weather of yesterday the ground is in first-class order, and fast times will be registered in tlio :<vc«!j throughout tho afternoon. Keddell will niakfl a:; endeavour to orcato a now Australasian re. cord for the Long .Tump. The 220 yds Chain, nionship of Otago and Southland promises ta furnish a great contest. All the fast sprinters of Otago aro competing, and the racing for winning honours will bo very keen. Th« Kaikorai Band has been specially engaged, and afternoon tea will bo dispensed by fr.dy friends of the club. O'Kane, Burk. Bass, M'Corkindale, Milroj, M'Cracken, Keddell, and others are in great nick, r.mT their performances should' be full of interest, and will be, watched in view of the forthcoming New Zealand championship meetings.
