(Per TJwiteb Press Association.) AUCKLAND, February 15. 'Tho Congregational Union hold a devotional meeting this morning:, whon mofliotis of deepening spiritual life were discussed. At the afternoon meeting district committee reports were received. Tho annual report of the registrar stated that a steady advanco had been made in all branches of ohurcli worlc. Tito total church membership was 2190, as against 2041 ill 1904. The total number of scholars was 2509, a? against 2290 in the previous year. Tho debt on church property, which stood at £6505 in 1904, had been reduced by £390 during the past year. Tho capital of the pastors' provident fund had now reached £2236, and promises which could bo relied upon represented nearly £250 more.' Tho increment to the fund had consisted of interest on investments, £90, and £338 donations, collections, and other contribuf 10119. It was decided to rescind resolution passed by tho council of 1803 requiring the preacher of tho annual sermon to be elected by the council. Iji the evening a missionary meeting was held, when the Revs. A, M'Naughton, J. H. M'Kcnzio, and R. Mitchell gave addresses. There was a largo attendance.
