(Received Feb. 16, at 1.6 a.m.) The portion of the New Zealand loan floated here has proved an unqualified success, this being largely due to tho amount- of money available here for investment and the attraction of ;i higher rate of interest, The tenders amount to £831,300 from the -.public, of which about a quarter of a million came from Sydney. The tenders at £101 16s and over will he allotted in full, whilst those at- £101 15s 6d will receive about 35 per cent-, of tho loan. The underwriters will not be required to participate, in the loan. Messrs Thoneman and Co. were the largest contributors to the succe66 of the operation, having tendered for almost half tho total sum subscribed.
