Mr Kidston, the State Treasurer, hi the courso of a speech, said that if he had his way tho next Queensland loan would bo a long way ahead. He believed that Queensland was .going to have a boom time, but if so they would have it on honest lines. Queensland would do better by depending on her own resources and by being careful about future borrowing than by rushing into another boom. They were going to have a good time after five bad years, but he hoped it would be without tho horrible aftermath which was tho inevitable outcomo of reckless borrowing.
