ADULTERATED BUTTER.

LONDON, November 23, (Received Nov. 23, at 9.35 p.m.) The Lancashire County Council is prosecuting a firm at Preston respecting a hos of so-called Queensland butter bearing the Government- stamp and found, to contain an adulterated mixture, consisting largely of cocoanut oil. The Agents-general assisting in the prosecution traced the manufactory in London. It is believed that- other Government-graded butters have also been tampered with.
