HARRIERS.
The St. Andrew Harriers held their Threemils Championship and Sealed Handicap Race nt Forbnry Park, yesterday afternoon. Tho (rack was very sloppy, and in consequence the lact was very slow. Seventeen faced the starter, and at the word "go" Clarke shot to the front and made tho pace very hot for the iirsi half-mile, Carpenter and Watson then taking up the running. At tho end of tho first mile several retired. Rutherford vnado the pace fer the second mile, closely followed by Gardner, Connor, and Struthere. With.about half a mile to go, Struthers'took the lea4and maintained it to tho finish, Gardner beating Corner for second place after a good race, Eutherford, a. few seconds off, fourth. Time, lilmin Sscc. On the sealed handicap being opened it was found that Gardner, with 30sec, had secured first place, with Connor, 20soc, second, and Eutherford, lOsec, ■ third. Tho chib has to thank the Forbury Park' Company lor the -ise of the ground, also Mr Christie, ■who a*ci«d as timekeeper and handicappcr. .
