Messrs Donald Rtid and Co. (Limited) report:—We held our We-dtiy auction sale of giain and produce at our s'.orcs on Monday. Thero was a. good attendance of local buyers and others interested in the trade, to whom wo submitted nit average catalogue. • For l-carly all the lines on oifer there was gaud competition, and nearly all clasps of prcduco mot a. fair sale. Prices ruled as under:—

Oats.—Thrro has ken keen demand during tho past week for r.ll milling and good shipping lira, but offerings are so small that buyers have soma difficulty in supplying their eiders. Local stocks aro in snyill compass, and in view oi present inquiries tho market will probably continue firm. Lower grades are also inquired for, but there ave no quantities offering. Turnips.—Supplies havo slackened, and best swedes are now worth 33s per ton (loose, ex truck). Hay—Wojiavo fair inquiry for good to prime lolover and ryegrass lit £2 10s to £3 per ton (pressed).

Chaff— The market in fairly.well supplied. Prima oaten sheaf is in good demand at lato rates. We quote: Prime prion sli.eaf, £3 to £3 10s; good do, £2 17s Gd to £3 2s; light and discoloured, £2 10s to £2 133 per ton (bags extra).

Turnips.—The markci has been bare of supplies during tho past' -.roelr, and any consignments! now arriving tiro easily quitted at from' 12s to 13s per ton (loose, ex truck).
