Oh, how the brewers and publicans will, delight (if tJiey have tlio-oppor-tunity) to strengthen the character of Dunedin young men by increasing the attractiveness and facility for alcohol drinking. And how many broken-hearted mothers of Dunedin will fairly sing for joy if the open bar still exists to strengthen their sons' moral calibre. Publish wi<l» the good news. Increase tlio 'temptation'- and strengthen the man. No use trying to make "crooked places straight and rough places smooth." Tho more crooked and 1110 rougher the better. Don't prohibit the keeping of pigs in the city. - The smell therefrom will strengthen the human nostrils. Don't prohibit the spitting on streets. Tho moro microbes the- better. Your physical lungs will be all the stronger for having to resist the insidious de-ath-dealing devils.
