ADDIX.GTON STOCK MARKET. (Per U.vited Phess Assocution.) CHRISTCHURCH, April 20. . At tho Addmgton ynrds to-day there wag a large entry of all classes of stock, and a good attendance. Store sheep wero very dull of sale, and many lots were passed.. Fat lambs sold firmly at the previous 'week's prices, but beef showed a further decline, sales being difficult to effect. There was a fairly heavy yarding of store sheep, including some from the Sortli Islfmd and several lines of Flaxbourne sheep. There wero few buyers present, and si considerable proportion of lite ■yarding, including the Flaxbournc lots, was passed in. Tho yarding of fat lambs was not so large as the previous week, and was of fair qualify. There were only a few export buyers operating, but lambs sold well at the jirevious week's rates. Light lambs made from lGs to 17s 3d; prime, 17s Gd to 18s 9d;.and tegs, Ifls to. 203 9tl, There wns'ouly a medium entiy of fat'shcep. The yarding of-fat cattle totalled 176, and was mostly of useful sorts, there being several station lines entered. The demand was very slack, iand a number of lots was,passed in, prices showing_~a further decline. Fat steers from Lake Coleridge made 'from £7 12s Gd to £8 12s Gd; other steers brought from £5 17s Cd to £8; heifers, £4 17s Gd to £7; and cows, £4 7s Gd to £5 2s (id, equal to 35s to 20s per 1001b. A small eiilvy of-veal calves sold Well at from 7a Gd to £2 Ss. There was a large yarding of pigs. Baconers sold.at the previous week's prices, but porkers wero Tather easier, and there was a fair domand for well-grown stores. Baconcrs made from 41s to 48s for light weights, equal to 45d per lb, and from 50s to ,60s for heavy weights, equal to 4d per lb; porkers, 23s to 345, equal to lid to 4Jd per lb; large stores. 25s to 335; medium, 15s to 22s Gd; and weaners, 7s to 12s.
