Tho principal feature of the colony's exports for January 1905 as compared with those for January 1904 is a (ailing off in Mutton, lamb, wheat, and oats, The falling off in the value of carcases of mutton is from J384-.257 to 73,283; lamb from £71,138 to £47,339; wheat from £11,979 to £11,000: oats from £29,726 to £41,390 j butter shows an incrcise from £230,421 to £243,755; cheese slightly declined from £37,239 fo £33,031; beef from £7,982 t0.£7,846. Taking tho last ten months (April to 'January inclusive) and annexing in parenthesis the figures for Hie corresponding toil months of the prccotlins year, a comparison is;—.
