(Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, February 13. David Barry, aged 35 years, took on the coasting steamer Manaroa, and William Mathews, A.8., 25 years, had an altercation to-night on the wharf. Barry attacked Mathews with a cleaver, inflicting a wound on tho head and injuring several ribs. Mathows was removed to the hospital, and Barry taken into custody.
