MARINE ENGINEERS.
WELLINGTON, January 27. Tho regulations for tho examination of marine engineers have been revised to provide that, in order .to qualify, a candidate must have served one year at sea as an engineer on regular watch on the tnain engines or boilers of a foreign-going or intercolonial steamship of not less than 66 nominal horsepower, or 18 months in a; Home-trade steamship of got less than 66 nomjniil horsepower, whilst possessed of or entitled to a third-class engineer's certificate, or- tho Minister's certificate of exemption from tho tbird-ilass ..oxaminatipfli
