o (Per Unitkd Phkss Association.) AUCKLAND, January 12. The yacht Shamrock, ivitli four of :i crow —Messrs Hyan (three) nnd Williams,—which lefl. Auckland on December 26, is mining. The yacht called at Kawau oil llie 27th, and left on the 28th for the Harrier. A few hours after leaving u lmrriciino squall from, fhe north-east came on, suddenly shifting to the south-west, and l'aisinjf a fearful sea. As the yacht has not since been heard of it i<; .vurmi>c<l thai >)ie foundered in the s(|iiall. Other local yachts hail a severe , time in the same squall.
