OTAGO RUGBY FOOTBALL UNION. Tho usual weekly meeting of the Oom« mittoo of tho Otago Rugby Football Uniort was held at 5.15 p.m. yesterday, and waa attended by Messrs G. M'Lnren (president), J. Huioliison, .T. Duncan, P. J. Priest, G. Smith, V. G. D. Munro, F. H. Campboll, and T. Scurr. A number of applications for tho uso o£ grounds on Saturday wcro referred to the Flag Committee. An application by tho Christian Brothers' School for tho rise of Carisbrook at 1.30 on Saturday, on the occasion of their match against the Maxisfc Brottefs of Invcrcargill, was referred to tha Emergency Committee. The Secretary of the Duncdift Hockey Club wrote asking for tho use of a ground in the centre of Forbury Park for the whole of next season.—lt was decided that tho application could not bo entertained at> present, as tho committco had only a leaso of tho park from year to year. Permission was granted to the Southern Football Chib to present caps to members of tho First and Second Fifteens, and also to tho captains of tlio Third and Fourth Fifteens.

Tho Secretary cf tho Duneilin Harriers wrote asking permission to run a two-mile handicap on Saturday afternoon during the progress of the Otago-Wnngamii match.—lt was decided to allow tho rare to ho run before the commencement of the game.
