THE MAYORAL ELECTION.
A meeting of Cr 'X'. R. Christie's Ceneral Committee was held last evening, when a large number of supporters wero present. A good deal of ivork was gone through, and the reports presented by the several ward committees were in the direction of indicating a successful issue to the campaign, which is to be vigorously conducted till the polling day.
