It is a well-known fact that tlm Tmsinws dorto on the- Saturday is very small, as the majority of town people lay fli.msolves out for a thorough holiday, and the town is practically deserted. Several store-keepers closed their premises hM. year, and found it- answered admirably; and 1 am sure if tbe gene-rat public- were notified in thus they would support it in _ every way. A number of employers are willing and intend eiosinir, but trust tlio majority will also fall into line. Hoping to see the Saturday observed as a close holiday,—l am, etc., Assistant.
