Booth forced the company into liquidation; alleging that they were unable to'obtaih a working capital from Hooley, who was acting for his wife, who was one of tho promoters. Booth denied the alleged liahilityj and counterclaimed for £200 paid on 5000 shares, alleging "misrepresentation. The Chief Justice commented on a statement by a witness named 1 Cawsfo'n to the effect that'Hooley had■'urged him to stay away from the trial, also on, Hooley's contradiction.
