OTAGO CRICKET ASSOCIATION.

I A committee meeting of the. Otago Cricket Association was held on Tuesday night, when there woro present: Messrs C. W. Eattray (in the .chair), L. C. Gooch, C. K. Smith, P. H. Campbell, W. H. Skitch, \V. Maclean, A. M'Lean, J. Millar, and E. S. A letter was received from the Green Island Club withdrawing from the championship matches.—lt was decided to retain their subscription. A letter was also received from tho Hendley Club withdrawing their Third Grade torn.—Received, and it was decided to fino tho Hendley Club 10s. It was decided that, owing to tho withdrawal of the Hendley and Green Island Club?' teams from th& Third and Fourth Grade championships respectively, tho olubs having byos take up theso clubs' matches in their respective grades. A letter was received from tho New Zealand Cricket Council re North v. South Island match.—lt was decided 1 that as it was very improbable that thoroughly representative teams could bo got together, it was mot desirable to arrange this fixture, but in tho event of tho council arranging thia fixture this association would do all in its power to make the match a success. The Canterbury Cricket Association wrote suggesting that tho dates for the CanterburyOtago match be December 25, 26, and 28.— This was agreed to. The secretary- W3S instructed to write to the South Otago Cricket Association re arranging a match with their association. ■It was decided to play tho "Colts'" match on November 9. Messrs P. H. Campbell, W. Maclean, sind J. Millar were appointed to select the Colts' team. The secretary was instructed to ask tho Selection Committee to select the Otago Eleven at their earliest convenience. He was also instructed to write to the secretaries of clubs asking them to submit tho ■names of colts eligible for selection in the Colts' team.

A-cablegram has been received stating that Mr It Graham, the well-known Australian cricketer, has accepted tho terms offered as cricket coach to tho Otago Boys' High. School, and will leave Melbourne next week to fulfil his engagement.
