Best dry merinos and fino halfbreds fetch Gd to 7d per lb; medium, 4Jd to sjd; lest crossbreds, 41d to 5Jd; medium, 3d to 4d per lb; butchers"green crossbreds, 3s 3d to 5s Gd; merinos, 3s 9d to 4s 9d each.

Rabbitskins.—The market ij firm, and late rates are well maintained. Prime winter greys (mixed) fetch 15Jd to lOJd; medium, 14d to ]sd; inferior, 12d fo 13d; autumns, Od io lOd; summers. GJd to BJ.d; prime winter black, 21d to 27J<I; inferior to medium do, lOd fo 19d per lb.

Hides.—The demand for these continues good, and all offered find buyers at full rates. Prime ox fetch. Gd to extra prime and heavy, occasionally GJd to 7}d; medium to good, 4Jd to sjd; light, 3Jd to best stout cow, 5Jd to 5Jd; medium to good, 4d io 4Jd; light, 3Jd to 32d; bull hides, 2d to per lb; yearlings, 3s to Gs Gd; calfskins, Is to 2s Gd each.

Tallow and Fit.—All coming to hand is readily placed. Best country lots fetch 19s to 20s; medium to good, lGs 6d to 18s 6d; inferior, 14s to lGs; best mutton caul fat clean, 16s to lGs 6d; medium, 15s to 15s Gd; inferior, 12s 6d to 14s 6d per cwt.

Grain.—Wheat: Millers are not operating freely, being pretty well satisfied that their, supplies can be secured as required at present rates, at all events. A fair demand exists for inferior, and late rates are maintained. Quotations: For prime milling, northern, nominally, 4s to 4s 2d; medium to good, 3s Gd to 3s 9d; best whole fowl wheat, in retail lots, 3s 4d to 3s sd; medium, 3s to 3s 3d; broken and thin, 2s Gd to 2s 9u (ex store, sacks extra, not).—Oats: The small demand existing is confined to bright, short fe*d for export, Millers are not operating to any extent, and even for shipment buyers are not disposed to give prices lately obtained. Musty and inferior sorts, of which there is a considerable quantity on hand, are difficult to place at any price. Quotations: For prime feed, milling, is Gd to Is GJd; extra bright, Is 7d to Is 7ld; medium, Is 4d to Is sd; inferior, 9d to Is Id; odd lots for seed. Is 9d to 2s (ex store, net).—Barley: There is r.o business of any consequence passing in-this cereal, and quotations arc nominal.

Ryegrass Seed.—The business done is confined To small lots for farmers' requirements. Quotations: For machine-dressed heavy seed, 4.9 to 4s 3d; extra Jieavy, 4i Gd to. 4s 9d; medium, 3s 9d to 3s lid; light. 3s Cd to 3s 9d; undressed, 2s to 3s (ex store, sacks extra, net).

Chaff.—Consignments of prime have this week been on a more extensive scalc.
