Sin,—Those who, liko "Observer," steik or write about the union of the Anglican, Ckirah with tho Citholio forget one very important -thing: the Anglican Church .of England , , being a State church, cannot join the Catholic or any other church simply as ' tho clergy .jnay think proper.. They arc •• bound by act of Parliament to be a Protestant church; and, although ithe clergy v ■might -wish it, I.'think it will be a long time ere- the people of England will agree, to tho religion of the country baing changed from: Protestantism to Catholicism. Seeing so many of tho Anglican clergy want to join the Catholio Church, let them follow ' tho noble example of the Freo Church of.
