GORE STOCK SALES.

(Fnoa Oun Own Coruksi-ondent.) GORE, April 28. At the Gore stock sales there were about 3000 sheep offered to-day, v/hen (hero was. only a limited number of buyers present. Notwithstanding the small attendance most of the lots changed hands at very satisfactory prices, good wethers and breeding ewes being in strong demand. Fat ewes brought from 8s to 12s 10d, a tew up to 12s lOJd; fat ewes, Gs; fat wethers, up to. Z2s lOd; two-tooth store ewes and wethers, lis Gd to 12s fkl; four and six-tooth ewes, lis 2d for medium sorts; four, six, and eight-tooth ewes sold at from 10s to 12s; aged e'\?es, from 2s fid to ss. Of lambs only a few : were forward, and poor sorts sold at from 4s Cd j to 7s Gd. Of fat cattlo about 40 head were yarded. Fat bullocks brought up f° &<> Jfl3 ! fat cows and heifers. £5 to £ft ss; yearling steers, and heifers sold at from £2 10s to ti.

(Limited) report having- received the following cab!e from their bead office, dated London. 27tU April:—"Tho list o[ arrivals for the third series o'. wool sales, fixed to op:n on May 5, is closed. Total avnilable wool (including old stocks), colonial (Australasian and Cape) is 203,000 bales. Nolan (Middlemarch) .to Mr IV. G. Jones, a freehold farm of 119 acres, Strath-Tnieri district, together with a lease in perpetuity and forest reserve; idso. on account of the same owner, to Mr Edward Nolan, a freehold farm of C2 acres, situated in the same district.
