A DETERMINED SUICIDE.
(Pun United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, April 15. A labourer named Benjamin Todd committed suicide this afternoon in a determined manner, cutting his throat from car to car and almost severing the head from the body. Todd, although suffering severely from rheumatism and vcrv despondent, had not threatened to take his life, and was left alone without fear. About 2 o'clock his married daughter hSard a strange noiso in an outbuilding, and, opening the door, sho was horrified to find her father lyin<r on tho floor with his head almost severed. Ho was dead,.and Dr Moir stated that it was tho most determined caso of suicide which had over como nndor his experience.
