FLORAL FETE.

. The floral fete has been brought so much under the notice of the public that it is almost superfluous to remind our readers that it will take plate at Porbury Parlc to-dny. Every possible arrangement for the convenience and comfort of visitors has been provided for by the v committee, and those who patronise the fete will no doubt be rewarded by witnessing magnificent displays of .floral design in every conceivable shape. An additional attraction* has been provided in the'shape of the little boat Tilikum, which has. been specially decorated bj Miss Gray. Captain Voss will be present, and at intervals during the clay he will give a short account ofhis travel and adventure. Another attraction', which'.will no doubt be largely patronised'by children, is o> monster dip. A number of firms have given a lot of useful and valuable articles for'tho dip, and the children will find a good deal of interest and excitement in fishing out the prizes. Splendid entries have been received for all the gymklmna events, for tho night alarm, nnd for tie rescue race by returned troopers. It is anticipated that there will be 40 or 50 starters in the rescue race, which should be productive of considerable excitement. On the whole, the committee seem to have provided » very full day's amusement and pleasure for all who feel disposed to go out to Forbury Pnrk, and thus add their milo to the fund' foi the erection of the memorial to our fallen soldiers.
