ALHAMBRA THEATRE.
The Oswald Dramatic Company staged " East Lynne" at the Alhambra Theatre last night. There is still a large section of the community able to find pleasure in this tearful play, and this, doubtless, justifies the manager of a company in putting it on the boards. Last night the Alhambra was fairly well patronised, tho circle being filled to the Inst seat, and a, fair portion of the floor space being occupied. As for tho production of the piece, this was much on a. par with previous efforts of the company, and when tlie modest price of admission is taken into consideration it must be admitted that the audicnco got its money's worth. The principal parts were allotted as follows:—Lady Isabel and Madame Vine (a dual impersonation), Miss Ethel Gibson; Barbara, Hare, Miss Constance Warren; Cornelia Carlyle, Mr B. J. Oswald; Archibald Cnrlyle, Mr F. Lytton; Sir Francis Levison, Mr Edmund Koifc; Richard Hare, Mr Paul Clifford. "Ease Lynne" will be staged again to-night, and on Saturday'night the well-known drama "The Octoroon" will replace it. This will run till Tuesday night, when tho present season will end. The theatre will be re-opeucd on Saturday, the 14th, when Mr Fuller will introduce a. new variety combination.
