Oca Ows Correspondent.)' CLYDE, Maroh 5. At the inquest on the body of the lat# Sarah Murray M'Gregor, of Bannockburn, the jury returned a verdict of "Found drowned," as there was not sufficient evidence to show how .deceased got into the river. Information was received last evening that a young woman named Barclay died yesterday at Tapanui while undergoing an operation by Dr Robertson. The deceased was at the time under the influence of ohloroform. An inquest was to have been held la»t evening. The man .Tohn Gregg, who was admitted to the Hospital from Port Chalmers owing to injuries received from a fall in the praying dock, is still unconsoious. The kd Guy. hurt at the cattleyards on Wednesday, and the jockey Mathie, are both improving.
