Bartoii says that ,the federal Government are keeping a sharp eye on New' Hebrides interests, and tliere is no likelihood of any sidvautage heing galtied , by Franco ill that; respect. There will be ho action by the Ihiperial Gdvernoient except by representation through the Federal Government. The Joint Commission that the British and French Governments propbse to appoint to deal pith the Mil questiou has not yet been instituted. .
