Continent of Europe, United Kingdom, etc., per north express (to connect with the Mokoia at Wellington), at 0.50 a.m. Due in London 12th April. Close at Wellington on the 6th, at 2 pjn. • Corrcsnondonce aieed not be specially addressed. Money orders close at 4 p.m. and registered letters at 5 p.ni. on the ith. 1
FRIDAY, MARCH 6. For Lyttelton and- Christchurch, per Mourn, at 2 p.m. NOTE. On the Ist March a post office will be opened at Mr Minn's store, St. Leonards. Mails despatched and received twice daily, Tlio postage on letters lor Australia lias been reduced to one penny for each half-ounco or fraction thereof. Newspapers for the Australian States (except Queensland, which is Jil for every 2oz), one penny each. The public are reminded that the postage on newspapers for the United Kingdom, Queensland, and foreign countries is Id for the first 4oz, and id for each additional 2oz; and unless newspapers tiro fully prepaid the department cannot guarantee to forward them by th& quickest routes, Mails for Rarotonga, Tahiti, Tonga, Samoa, and Fiji closo at Auckland on the lltli March at 4 p.m. E.
