MEETINGS OP SOCIETIES.

The ordinary meeting of the West Harbour ■ Lodge, U.A.0.D., was held in tho Town Hall, Ravensbourne, ou Thursday evening. After the rcutino business was disposed of tho lodge iuljournctl to hold a "pound" night, presided over by L.D. Bro. Popo, Mr John Kcllett presiding at tho organ. Thcro wero present: — IJ.G.I'. Bro. Wardrop, D.G.V.P. Bro. Hopkins, D.G.S. Bro. Larniwh, D.Cr.G. Bro. Kcllett, P.D.G.P. Bro. Menzios, P.D.P. Bro. Hanson, P.D.P. Bro. Booth, P.D.P. Bro. Bond, P.D.P. Bro. Bryant, D.P. Bro. Hobte, D.'P. Bro. Oldenburg, Representatives P.A. Bro. Straus, P.S. Bro. Nicholas, P.S. Bro. Anderson, P.A. Bro. J. Stewart, P.A. Bro. J. C. Smith, P.S. Bro. Wilson, P.A.. Bro. Mitchell, P.S. Bro. Eold (Pacific Lodge, Wellington), P.A. Bro. Sundcrland, also brothers from other ledges and a largo number of lodgo members. The usual toasts wero given and responded to. Songs were rendered by Mr John Kcllett, Bros, and Sisters Kellett. Ciillon, Bold, Flotcher, and Hobbs. During tho evening D.G.P. 3ro. Wsrdrop, on behalf of the West Harbour Lodge, in a neat and flattering speech, presented Bros. Tho meeting closed with "Auld lang syne." The fortnightly meeting of tho Loyal Duncdin Lodge, M.U., was held on Thursday,'G-.M. Bro. J. Lyall presiding. There was a fair attendance of members, and a largo amount of business was dealt with. P.G. Bro. Francis Trcthci wey (Loyal Catherine Lodge, Bendigo) and P.G. j Bro. T. Flynn (Hand and Heart) responded' to tho second toaofc. Receipts, £125 03 2<l. The fortnightly mating of Linden Lodge No. 5, U.A.0.D., wa-s held on Tuesday laßt at Ibo 1.0.0. F. Hall, Hoalyn. A.D. Bro. C. Leslie was in the chair, and there was a good atteiidanco of officers snd member?. Correspondence was"received from the D.U.F.S. Dispensary 1 notifying that a motion will bo considered at the annual meeting in April re the advisability of a. medical institute in connection with tho dispensary. It was decided to deal with the matter on quarter /light, and a 'delegate was instructed accordingly. A vote of thanks was accorded to Secretary T. Sunderland for long services rendered. One new menibcr was proposed. The usual toast 3 were duly hoEoured. Receipts, £5 5s fid.
