A TOWN DESTROYED BY FIRE.

CONSTANTINOPLE, August 31. • (Received Sept. 1, at 8.55 a.m.) A fire, which lasted 32 hours, completely destroyed Afium Karalussar, a city of Anatolia, in Asiatic Turkey. Afium. Karahissar (Black Castle of Opium) is a city of Asia, ifinor, with a population of about 60,000. It was a well-built city, having a citadel crowning a lofty rock, numerous irioaques, ohapols, baths, kliang, 'manufacture's of felfe, carpets, arms, sad l dlery, and stirrups. It had a large trade in opium, grown near it, whenco it takes its name. It is also the Seat of an Armeniuh bishop.
