WEDDING AT ST. MATTHEW'S CHURCH.
St. Matthew's Church was on Tuesday morning at 9.39 the sccna of quite a parish wedding, on the cccasion of the marriage gl' Mr A. W. Lilly, F.G.C.M., organist of St. Matthew's, to Miss Edith Fish, the vicar's secretary, aud eldest daughter of tho late Mr H. S. Fish,* M.H.R. The church was crowded 'by tho, parishioners, including tho churchwardens and vestrymen, who wore present.officially. The bride was dressed in a handsome cloth, travelling dress of navy blue, with wlijto'fiorfll trimming, and a hat of a pale blue silk. She was given away by tho vicar (the Rev. W: Curzon-Siggens, M.A.), Mr J. A. Fothorgill kindly bringing ■her to church as tho vicar's proxy. ' The scrvico was fully choral, all tho members of tho choir and four old members boing present. The vicar performed the ceremony. lue wedding was ma'do a thorough organist' 3 wedding by the kindness of throo organiats— viz., Messrs Bavth,. Taylor, and Timson. Mr iimson was appointed choirmaster of St. Matthew's at tho same t-imo that Mr STily was appointed organist, and.actcd as best man. Mr Taylor,- F.R.C.0., plaved tho organ dunng tho actual scrvicc, and Mr Barth, A.R.A.M., played tho recessional and the wedding marches. Mr Lilly had lioen a pupil at one time of each of these wellknown organists. Tho married pair, after tho usual toast, left by the express for Christcburch.
