The return 'Vom tho Commonwealth to the State for tho year is £2,385,000. It is expected that the expenditure. is pretty heavy, but it is not yet available. But for the drought the Treasurer would probably show a surplus.' A deficit is auticipated. MELBOURNE, July 1. The revenue for the year is £6,995,000, including £1,920,000 received from the Commonwealth. ADELAIDE, July 1. The revenue for tho year is £2,421,000, being £400,000. less than that of last year. The. sum of £002,000 was returned by tho Commonwealth;
