If tho Cunard Compauy woro unablo to hold their own without assistance tho Goyernment should help patriotically. If the American Subsidies Bill was adopted, compelling the Cunard Company to seek fresjj capital, Great Britain ought to assist. If no British subsidies were arranged British sailing ships would entirely disappear.
