Tho usual,weekly rneQtin;g of th» O.R.F.U. Committee -was held 'at the Chamber of Commerce at 7.30 p.m. yesterday. There were present Messrs Hutchison (president), Duncan, Harris, Macasnoy, M'Lareu, Munro, Henlon, Rojs, Smith, Priest, Wilkinson, and Campbell.

Athletic reported that he had ordered off tho field Heron (Athletic) for kioking Forsyth (Oamaru).—A report of tho inquiry into the matter was received from the North Otago Referees' Association, stating that, seeing that Horon bolicved ho had. received provocation and had apologieed to tho association for his conduct, tlm. committee would tako as lenient a view of the cjiee as was compatible with the host interests of football.— In view of all tho palliating circumstances of tlio case, the committee decided to take a lenient view of the mutter, and to suspend Heron for a month.

A request from the High School Club to play their First and Second in the third grade contest was referred to the Flag Committee to net in the mutter.

The Secretary of the Alhnmbra Club wrote asking that Hie match Port Chalmers Second v, Alhambra A bfi awarded to the latter on the ground that the Port had played illegally two members of the- First Tifloon.—The secretary was instructed to writo to thn Port Chalmers Cliib asking for an explanation.

Mr Campbell handed in his resignation as secretary, owina to the pressure of other engagements.—The resignation was accopted with regret, and it was decided, to record on tho minutes the committee's appreciation of Mr Campbell's services as secretary. It W»s decided to appoint Mr George Smith to the vacant position, and Mr Campbell was appointed to the vacancy in tho committee caused by Mr Smith' 9 election to the secretaryship.

It was decided to guarantee the sum of £10 to tho Otngo Cricket Association towards the expense of bringrinpr an amateur English cricket team to New Zealand.

The Association matoh Unity v. Mornington, played at Mornington, resulted in a, draw, each side scoring 2 goals. The following team will represent the Civil Service, against the Grocers on the Caledonian ground to-inorrow: —Bolton, Anderson, Palmor, Stanaway. Lundon, Snow, Thomson, Easton, M'Grogor, Stiachan, Cnnnell, Brown, Doolan, Bateman, Vernon; emergencies—Sherburd, Jacobsen.
