PEILDTXG. February 27. Sir Joseph Ward opened the new post ofbeo this morning. The attendance was large, ami Sir Joseph had a splendid reception. He made complimentary reference to Mrs Ilastie, who presented tho site. Ihe Mayor, Mr Goodbchere, and .Mr Lcthbndge. M.H.R., also gave addresses. Tho greatest enthusiasm marked tlio proceedings.
