(Per United Press Association.) GISBOUXE, February 27. A man named Georgo Wild is missing. On Sunday his boat capsized in tho surf, and last ovening ho wont to relaunch it. A search party are out.

NAPIER, February 27. A drowning fatality occurred hero this afternoon. A lad named Crowther, about seven years of ago, son of Mr S. Crowther, coach proprietor, was bathing in the surf with some companions, and was carried oitf to sea, and the youths, being unable to nelp him, it was some little time before assistance could be obtained. When the little fellow was finally brought ashore by Constable Oliphant lito was extinct. Tho spot where the accident took place was a considerable distance from tho bathing tents, Yesterday, owing to a heavy ground swell, there was a narrow osoane from drowning near tho tent, but the assistance of adult swimmers prevented a catastrophe. A fatal accident happened at Springvale yesterday afternoon, when a woll-known settler, James Barns, was thrown from bis horse and killed.
