ACTION NEAR KLERKSDORP.

CAPTURE OF A CONVOY. TRYING THE BLOCKHOUSE LINES. LONDON, February 27. (Received Feb. 28, at 0.15 a'.m.) Boers from another district, suddenly appearing in the south-west of Klerksdorp, captured Colonel A'ouedonop's empty Wolmaranstand convoy, which was being escorted by the (iith'battalion of Yeomanry and three companies of the Northumberland Fusiliers, with two guns. The fighting was severe, but the enemy finally retired, and were pursued. The Boers tried to cross the blockhouse line eastwards of Tl.ifelkop during the night when heavy rain was falling. Some succeeded after a number of casualties. Botbasberg, the scene of the recent conflict, is southward of A'rcde.
