WOOL SALES. Mee3rs Wright, Stcphenson, and Co. report as follows*—The concluding t:n)e o[ damaged wool ex ship Strathgryfe took plp.ee on Monday itternoon. Tliero was a .full milkier of buyers, and excellent competition, prices being quite ou a par with those current at the two earlier sales. We sold 73 bales. Only a few bales of scoural wool were offered, and these sold as follow?:—Bellies and pieces at j£G 10s to £7 10s, ar.d locks at £1. The quantity offered was not sufficient to induce outside buyers to attend, but there was a lull attendance of Dunedin buyers, who bid with great spirit for all the lots offered. The selection as a whole was not equal to that offerer! at pur lost Bale, but tho prices obtained wero highly satisfactory. GRAIN AND PRODUCE REPORTS. Messrs Dnlgoty ami Company (Limited) report having held their usual weekly auction Pale on Monday, when there was a fair attendance of buyers. Bidding was fairly jjocxl, 'ami yrices ruled as under:— Qats.—The rnijrket continues steady, prime milling nnd bright feed sorts being in good demand, but interior oats aro almost unsaleable. We quote: Prime milling, la 4Stl to Is 6d;good to best feed, la 3Jd to Is ii; inferior to medium, Is to Iβ 3d (bags extra). Wheat—During the past week the market has not shown much animation, but the demand, it anything, is slightly better for prime samples, Medium quality, however, is still hard to sell; unless as towl feed, which meets a ready sale. Quotations: Prime velvet and Tuscan, 2s Ci lo 2s 7d; medium do, 2s 3d to 2s sd; fowl feed, 2s to 2s lid; broken and damiged, Is Od to Is lid (hags in). Potatoes.—Consignments have not been quite so numerous during the week, and prices are rather firmer. Prime Derwenls, £3 to £3 53; medium do, £210s to £217s Cd (bags in). Chaff.—Tho demand tor prime oaten sheaf continues steady, but medium quality is overplentiful, and very difficult to sell even at quotations. Prime oaten sheaf, £2 7s Cd to £i 103; medium do, HI to £2 os; inferior, £1 las to U 17s 6d (base extra). Straw.—There is a good demand for both oat and wheat straw to 32s Cd per ton. Messrs Donald Ecid and Co. report as follows : — Oats.—We catalogued medium quantity, for which competition was not keen. Good to best feed and prime millin" meet with ready Bale for shipment, at quotations.
